The Scottish Government have ditched its controversial adverts which urged young Scots to donate their eggs and sperm and become surrogates. They were accused of "treating women's bodies" as "public resources" and failing to outline the risks of egg extraction.
Campaigners hit out at the publicly-funded marketing campaign which was launched in 2021 to persuade healthy Scots to help infertile families. There were three phases of this, with it restarting in 2022 and then again last October during National Fertility Week.
