ive been working to maintain a 250-500kc deficit for several months now.
i find that when i eat even small amounts of shit like bread or candy, it costs me significantly, both in how i feel and what it does to my body re: holding onto fat and losing muscle.
i also replaced never eating breakfast or lunch at all with eating oats/yogurt/berries/milk/peanutbutter/coconut/pineapple smoothies to raise my calorie intake because before i was starving all day every day and then eating junk food at night which would sate the hunger but not make up a calorie deficit so i was running super short AND only eating garbage, and my body looked like it.
the progress is slow, but keeps coming. ill hit weeks like the last couple where it feels like im slipping and inflating, and then suddenly i can push harder in cardio and strength sessions for several days straight and raise my baseline for effort just a bit and then my muscle/fat ratio reflects it on a lag.
