You're right that it's important to point out that "peers" on Nostr can very easily run their own relays/servers. So while the technical architecture is client->server (rather than peer<->peer), many "peers" also run their own servers, so there tend to be very many more servers than in other networks.
Especially in comparison to Farcaster, where running a Node is a really steep ask and hardly anyone does it!
