I’m becoming increasingly confident that a mass extinction will occur on earth, as it has many times before. You cannot rule out, that an advanced civilization lived here on earth in some ancient history that could not stop it, same as we will not be able to stop it. My only hope is that myself, my children, and my children’s children will enjoy the beauty of this world as I know it. It’s a bit scary that pollution from over consumption is piling up at an alarming rate. We may experience some inconveniences of these pollutants that could have drastic impacts on our quality of life in our life time. All we can do is be aware, and do our individual best to live our lives, that future generations may also be able to appreciate the world as we know it. As with all previous extinctions the world will renew itself, and future civilization will maybe uncover evidence of our existence.
