Don't forget shifters that can drop down under heavy load, like heading up White Pass. If you're riding gravel the grit can bugger up derailleurs. My summer cycling YK & AK fried my knees because the shifters wouldn't grab the high & low ranges. The Denali was wet, no way to do a thorough cleaning other than swishing the bike in the McLaren R. My thighs got huge though. Also sealed bearings & some way to chain wash a +.
