every year the "don't shovel snow if you are over 45" advice comes around and every year i think "surely this only actually applies to people who are not normally physically active" because 1) snow shoveling is not really that novel of a movement and 2) my 73 year old father regularly goes on solo backpacking and canoeing trips, i would really like to see someone try to tell him not to shovel his own driveway
