If you are using a passphrase for your Bitcoin wallet - which you should do because it's some kind of a 2FA - it's always recommended to write the Master fingerprint down and check it. If you are using Sparrow you see it in the window. A other way is to check your PayNym.
If you see a different PayNym that indicates that your passphrase is wrong.
