Sometimes the things we long for don't always come to fruition, or they take some time. Finding a wife, having a child, building us a home, and providing for my family were all things I had hoped for but continually eluded me.
Twenty years went by with no signs of success. I had to examine my approach and consider it may not be working. I humbled myself, admited defeat, and prayed for salvation.
God heard my cries and offered my a way forward. He bore the weight I had been carrying for many years.
James 1:2-4 "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing."
Phil 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
We have a loving and merciful God who came in the flesh to offer us a path of salvation. May we accept this most wonderful gift and seek to serve Him. Praise God
