As a freelance editor of books like Shift Happens, and the upcoming author of a book comics history, I am trying to figure out if there are any award competitions that would be worthwhile to submit authors’ work or my own. I plan to submit my comics history book for an Eisner—but beyond that, it seems like most non-fiction prizes/awards aren’t applicable to self-published works.
