Switched two sites over to Turnstile now, and so far it's looking like a good alternative. Their Wordpress plugin is simple and taps right into Contact Form 7 perfectly, and there's an option to hide the widget unless interaction is needed so it's basically as good as recapture v3 in that regard. They also claim to be WCAG AA compliant which is impressive for any captcha tech!
