REALLY weird symptoms plugging in my otherwise-boringly-functional USB-C charger into the seatback power socket on an LNER Azuma—iPad and iPhone screens both turned erratic, power meter cable showed output bouncing up and down erratically! Symptoms persist regardless of cables used, clear up when devices unplugged. Phone currently charging using a lightning cable in the LNER USB-A socket. Def. NOT plugging my laptop into that mains socket!
(I have USB backup batteries for the iHerd.)
