In a decentralized world anyone can make an index, anyone can make a global feed, anyone can make a project that scales. As long as there's more than one project it remains decentralized. If you dont like the way one feed is, you can make another one. Users get choice. You can also do small micro apps. Similar things are happenign on ActivitPub, and Solid, and I think ideas will eventually converge.
