ok, might be a weird post, but does anyone else have kinda a headmate-y relationship with math?
the gryphon has been doing math for 10 years and studying it daily for more than 6 or 7 at this point. in the past couple years, we've realized when we're doing proofs, it genuinely feels more like a conversation with a headmate than a discursive single-entity conversation.
different regions of math have different feelings.. new (to me) math is more discursive, but familiar math is genuinely like a conversation with a friend (esp. set theory and some applied math)
very personal and internal things, not being prescriptive at all ^v^ just describing our experience.
