I just started it yesterday and it is pretty fun. Dude looks like a monkey because he is a monkey; the game is full of various animal people from Chinese mythology. In the enemy descriptions they insert little fables and stories relating to each one, and if nothing else it's interesting because it's a glimpse into the mythos of an alien culture that you don't usually get to see.
