On each of my kneecaps is a stick and poked tattoo of a turtle shell (right) and snail shell (left). I remember having this thought of older civilizations using things like shells from animals as armour and I guess it manifested into getting these done by a good friend in Montreal over a few years, we'd just binge watch The Mighty Boosh or Futurama when I'd go visit during the winter months between 2014-2016. I'm still in touch with them and wish we were closer.
