Call me crazy but why shouldn’t research intensive universities, which have large endowments, contribute more money to the running of global scholarly infrastructure? 🧐
?What if smaller universities have been disproportionately subsidizing the system for research intensives all along?
(APC-OA certainly isn’t the right model, but I find it bizarre to pick out “Harvard & MIT would have to pay a bit more” than they currently do, as a reason why OA couldn’t happen. Perhaps I misread it?)
