I was thinking of returning beta builds before each stable release, automated, with a different package name and signature, so you can keep it installed while having the stable one at the same time. Also, debuggable and unminified (so logs are easier to get).
I know there are people who used them in the past.
It's also a good way to get feedback of possible issues during the testing period.
Thoughts?
