Blue Jay in Focus
I sit outside a lot with my dog Charlie. Though I haven't done so in a couple of weeks. There are always blue jays (Cyanocitta cristata) around, usually in the treetops. This time of year, they are raiding the acorns in the oak trees and I put some peanuts out for them that they will take when the acorns become scarce.

Blue Jays are known for their intelligence and complex social systems with tight family bonds.
