Last week I posted a link to a job opening on LinkedIn, and was there this morning replying to a few comments from some old colleagues. While there, I happened to see a video someone shared of an Oreo cookie being subjected to a blowtorch for 30 seconds.
The shelf around the cookie caught fire. The cookie did not.
One pauses to ask oneself, what (the heck) kind of alien substances do they put into cookies that makes them flame retardant to that degree!?! According to the post, 756 of 766 chemicals introduced into the food supply haven't been approved by the FDA.
Whoever it was that coined that adage about an apple a day was far more right than we thought…
