Back to considering what it'd take to take my well pump off-grid as my first foray into solar...
Well pump is 230V, rated for continuous draw of 6.8 amps (~1600W) and a measured inrush of 8.7 amps (rounding to 10) at 250V, which is ~2500W.
I should be in the clear (with room to spare) with a 230V 3kw inverter, even better with one that can temporarily surge beyond that.
I shouldn't need that much battery capacity, but I'll do the math here in a bit.
Question is, Victron or Chyna?
