yeah, we were recommended them too for our kid. Difference being that our kid already has pretty bad and quickly worsening myopia, so we went for it (and it’s ‘only’ about £80 more, which is about half your figure)
But parenting sure is expensive…
The other thing that’s really annoying is that they need to sit precisely in the correct spot. As such we’re supposed to go back to the optician about every other week for a re-fitting. That’s a serious drain on time!
