So I finally read Andrew Dessler’s pre-print regarding bitcoin mining and increase prices in ERCOT and made a few notes. I will share them later this week on here. TLDR; there’s a major assumption that is wrong that underpins the entire paper. Thankfully, Dessler is an open-minded guy is aware of the issues.
