let me help you a bit. I went with 6TB drives 2 years ago. It works fien and I still have enough space.
But there are basically 2 TB gone because I store the image of an old NAS on a drive and I added desktop backups that have up to 10 years of archiving using pika backup. Which also takes some space.
Then 6tb for jellyfin, 3tb for k8s service backups. It works out fine, there is still space until the 5 year mark is hit for the NAS.
