I would figure out what style you'd enjoy doing. Check online what you think would be cool to practice, and just as important, what you would use it for. Maybe writing letters, or journaling, etc. It's an art of patience and akin to meditation with each stroke.
Once you figure that out, then you can order a kit online for that style you want (reach has different "pens"). Go with the cheapest at the start, then upgrade as you get better. Commit to doing it daily for at least 15 minutes, even if you are practicing just a few letters or sentences you want to get right. Ideally you have a mentor but there are few that practice this nowadays.
I like it because it's got to be the simplest and lightest art to carry around with you, to the park or a different country, and valuable as you can interact with other people with it.
