npub1ysemehc2adrdz27k5crmfhcqkmjpjdkqc4pe887ks9s60zfrj40qg8jaay (npub1yse…jaay) I just hate the circle jerk of shooting themselves (and authors) in the foot that publishers have had going on for the past of, three decades (since digital books became a serious thing).
Publishers could have helped all authors with good distribution at reasonable prices/fair contracts, so authors would sell more copies.
Instead we get this bullshit, and indie authors don't generally have the visibility to sell enough reasonably priced books to make a decent profit for their work.
