Pretty darn good day for #butterflies today, given it’s like the third day of winter. Spent a couple hours out at Calavera, and spotted a ton of Cabbage Whites in the lower trail areas. Up on the “volcano” it was a Lady Show, with Painted Ladies hilltopping alongside American Ladies and Red Admirals. Multiple individuals of each. And they weren’t content to just hang out in the sun either. They almost constantly fought. I managed to record a chase scene which produced some good pix.
