Distributing Zyklon B through shower heads poses many problems and begs many questions. That's why the Holocaust officials have abandoned this claim.
First, how would it have worked? You can't send pellets through water pipes. You could off gas the pellets in a container or room somewhere and direct the air through the shower heads but there was no setup for that where they claimed the gas chambers were. Then there's the matter that hydrogen cyanide is lighter than air, so to distribute it from the ceiling wouldn't be very effective.
On a side note, it's interesting to go through Germar Rudolf's Chemistry of Auschwitz and look at the pictures of various delousing chambers to see how complex they were. But we're supposed to believe that for the high priority of gassing Jews they just dropped pellets through a column. Sure thing.
