However, despite all these brutal persecutions, kobzarstvo survived. Thanks to people who were not afraid to preserve this traditional Ukrainian movement, folk culture and memories of heroic pasts were able to be passed on. At the beginning of the 20th century, with the emergence of independent Ukraine, kobzarstvo was revived, and in the conditions of independence in 1991, this phenomenon became one of the cornerstones of national identity.1/7
