I spent years grinding my teeth each time Toby Young appeared on TV. To be fair to me he sometimes was and still can be stupidly sexist and generally annoying but credit where credit is due. He did a great thing setting up the Free Speech Union and it is helping a lot of people facing horrific circumstances. Free speech is definitely under threat in the UK and Toby is doing good work pushing back to protect the right to free speech for all of us. If we don't have free speech we will also struggle to defend other freedoms which we currently take for granted.
