There was a graveyard near an old church in San Diego. Went way back (for us) and included old missionaries, natives and pioneers. Old headstones, ivy, moss, cracked markers. I loved it as a kid, creep sad and beautiful.
The city redid it as part of their revitalization program, and when I went to revisit, it was all straight white crosses. Yikes.
