This is absurd! I am wondering if the people most affected by this are those that use the on board platforms that sync to your phone and the emergency services system (eg onstar)..? Or does it tend to be some built in always active feature that most people cannot turn off?
Also, there is that issue where the car manufacturer opted u in at the point of sale (think it was GM or Ford) - basically made feel like you couldn’t have a secure car if you didn’t sign this data “sharing” agreement.
