I think BS has great potential, but my Mastodon experience is very much like how I used Twitter in, say 2014. I've been on all of these since the early days. They all depend on how you develop you feed.
The KILLER feature of Mastodon is the word filters. Even Twitter has them. They allow a peaceful fee without [whatever you do not want]. A large user base doesn't guarantee a good experience.
