some years back i've watched raduga's seminar on youtube about lucid dreaming and got lucid dream the same night...

also had a shared dream experience.
with my friend we met in a dream and both had the same memory of what has happened the next morning. so it's nothing new and is totally possible, but it's great to see that people are working on documenting and proving it scientifically.

p.s.
stopped practicing lucid dreams because at some point i couldn't tell a difference between a dream and reality.
