It sure does. It's disheartening. I'm not a fan of solutions with a low barrier to entry. If you can release tracks to the world both easily and for no initial cost, it becomes a race to the bottom.
I'd prefer v4v music to be more proof of work; you either take the time and effort to self host it, or you pay money to have someone host it for you. When you don't have to pay anything, what you get is a pool of shit you have to wade through to find the gems.
