I think there was reason to believe after Trump's appointments that they had every reason to do it it before 2022. But you might be right that they still wouldn't have had the votes.

The problem is that they really are doing a poor job defending our rights. They are losing.

Obviously, or it should be, voting against the Nazi's is the basic thing we all need to do. The Dems are not making it easy.
