Re Mastodon's recent #spam attacks:
This attack, and these kinds of attacks cant be solved by filters. They can only be solved by imposing a neglible cost to federate a post, and a little more to create an account.  It could also become a way to help fund servers.  
The #internet and #Mastodon need to adopt a native currency.  #Bitcoin fixes this.
