Migration is just normal. It is something humans have done forever. I like my migrant neighbors and think they enrich the community. People should be able to flee famine, war, instability, etc. Honestly, they should be able to go places just from curiosity.

I wonder if a lot of the antimigrant sentiment is people being unable to conceive of migration without trying to coerce the population already living there. Settler colonialism are just so firmly woven into the western psyche.
