I’ve been using Obsidian for about a month now, and I’m absolutely loving it.
The issue is the paid features are a bit… well, steep.
I pay $10 per site per month for Publish, and $5 month for sync. That’s essentially £25/mo for a note-taking app.
Realistically I could get that down to $20/mo for an annual sub, but I’m not at home enough to commit yet. That’s a minimum of $240/yr
Contrast that with perhaps GitHub pages which is free or $48/yr or my current full fat hosting which comes with a free domain for $55/year for unlimited sites.
Not a sustainable subscription for sure. I like the editor too, but Nova is $99 - and that’s, well, Nova.
