the key differences are:
dont care for lgbtq rights, they claim the left party only cares about city hipsters (think jk rowling, but without a big discussion about trans rights like in the uk)
they want to drastically limit the right to asylum
they wanna stop support for ukraine
they dont really
they are scared to many foreigners are coming to germany
they are similar to the left party in this regards:
current leader of the party did call herself a communist in the past (tbf left party is just for a democratic socialism)
deprivatization of key industries
support for lower incomes
higher taxes for the rich, lower taxes for the poor
so economical they are pretty left wing, culturally and on migration right wing. "communist" is a exaggeration on my side. many parties in germany are in favor of socialism on the paper, but it results in a social capitalist market. like capitalism with strong support for sick, unemployed, elderly, disabled, etc.
