Was on the phone today with a random service provider. Lady told me she was on vacation last week right before loudly caughing. Told me she probably got something. I bit my tongue really hard but could freely shake my head.

I told this story to my spouse and the reaction I got was that "not everything is covid, we are not in a wave". Well first our baseline is now higher than some waves. It might not have been covid, but colds don't normally happen in May/June. I got eye rolls when I mentioned that covid affects the immune system, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the cause.
