The disconnect is most people see Mozilla’s purpose as providing a browser alternative that isn’t garbage (and in particular, doesn’t cooperate with surveillance capitalism), but the Mozilla organisation thinks it’s purpose is to maximise revenue and “build, commercialize, and open source components and tools that make it easy for developers and users to develop AI agents to solve real-world use cases”, whatever the fuck that means.
