update on the owncast project:
friends were getting bad buffering, cried lots at npub1650a00pnrsl85awz0xq7s69ql7h6weh9lm9xa79wc7cenpm36phsy3ssvu (npub1650…ssvu) for help, found out server was only getting 10mbit for its ethernet 
luckily neighbor works installing cable/internet so had extra rj45 connectors/tools/etc -- i learned how to replace them and now im getting full 1000mbit
