But you know what? Now that I'm a parent and have met some of them in later life, most of them (except for the truly badly-wired kid who lived upstairs from me and tried to kill me - he was one of those tortures-animals types) just had really shit parents and a really shit life. Or there was shitty cultural acceptance around them.
