Tonight's rabbit hole has me grepping through the entire Ubuntu kernel source code to find the reason one particular function is returning 'false'... only to discover that the entire function body of the component ultimately responsible for the issue is one line - "return false;".
Now I get to clone the entire Linux Git repository to my local machine so I can figure out what this function used to do and why it no longer does it.
