Ahh, a sin to God, a much better question! Before the Law? Yes by design, ordained by prophecy. Before the jewish rulers? Yes! For they called for His blood. Before the presidents set by God in His interaction with people in the OT? Yes!
But, Jesus pleased God in all He did.

I often feel like pointing out such things when I see people being hard on others about their sin. The pattern is usually some boomer tier posting about things the poster doesn't personally do. (saw some of that yesterday) They condemn themselves, and they don't even know it.
Either, the people are righteous by faith, like Abraham and Christ, or they are cursed because of their sin under to law. And, it can't be both. And you sure can't be righteous by the law, if by your death, the law cause for you to be God Damned.

I am certainly not pure by my deeds.
