I'm very torn on how much I want to praise Granblue Fantasy Relink. I guess Granblue is a fighting series so it makes sense that they would lean into character unlocks for replayability rather than more content. Visuals look great and environments are very deep but they tried to implement small platforming elements that don't work very well so new places aren't very interesting beyond wondering what the new enemies will look like. It's got the same problem ARPGs always seem to have too, just like turn-based JRPGs, where if you don't grind appropriately ahead of time with zero knowledge, you'll hit brick walls of bosses who will OHKO your party members who you have to rely on to avoid attacks. Sometimes they do but sometimes that try to tank the big hits like retards and there's nothing you can do about it. Infuriating.
