I find it difficult to appreciate stories of true suffering, no matter how deserving of schadenfreude the sufferer is, but I have to appreciate the *staggering* irony of the BAYC burning their eyes out. The reason this happened is indiscriminate technophilia ("hey a really powerful blacklight, cool") without regard for safety ("who cares if it's for disinfecting, just get the cheapest one") due to a commitment to a garish aesthetic ("it makes everything glow! cyberpunk!")
