tonight's spooktacular #halloween film was "The Ghost of Yotsuya" (dir. Kenji Misumi, 1959) from the newly released "Daiei Gothic" box set from Radiance. what a film. absolutely brilliant
the wife of an out of work samurai falls victim to the schemes of a local lord and is killed so her husband will be free to marry the lord's daughter. needless to say she returns to wreak ghostly vengeance
I hope the other films in this box set are as good as this
