We were so close to that with Cortana. You could tell a windows phone "Remind me to ask my wife about the dog's medication", and then ANY text or Email the phone would pop up a reminder.
I keep dreaming we'll get better app integration, like if could tell my phone to search for a song on Qobuz and play it on my TV, but we seem to be moving farther away from BROAD interactions on our gadgets.
