Muslim websites lack design quality

I say this because we actually have the ambition to demand the best from ourselves, to achieve the highest possible quality. And yet, in Muslim products, there is always a certain flaw, those last few percent of quality, that one is otherwise used to from Western products and services, are missing. And the worst thing about it is that we have gotten used to it, we are satisfied with mediocrity.

How did this happen? From Mimar (Architect) Sinan to design ordered from Wish. And this consistently runs through everything we manufacture. However, the application of design principles that we apply to our websites should be consistent. The work is agonizing, it sometimes really hurts, but we should have this ambition.

I'm talking about things like consistent spacing management. Doesn't any Muslim designer build a design system anymore in which he also defines which (white) spaces and units are allowed between UI elements? Does CI only mean logo, font, and color palette these days?

Spacing is the most important thing in web design. That's how you recognize professionals. Anyone can do nice colors and design modules. But mastering the vertical and horizontal rhythm is a different matter. Admittedly, I only learned it in my 10th year in web design.

Spacing downwards, design grid, balanced line heights for body text and headings that fit the overall rhythm ... for this, the eye first needs to be trained, and then you have to come up with a mathematical number system and apply it consistently. This is ancient craft knowledge, and back then we had to implement it against different browser interpreters. Today, the implementation is easier, but the knowledge seems to have disappeared. Among all the website generators, the craft seems to have disappeared.

But the mediocre designers get away with it. Because the customer also doesn't have a trained eye. On the contrary, they are used to trash. At least, I see less and less Muslim excellence in design today, but mostly just something slapped together. This has to change, we have to become a brand again. A quality feature that is recognizable and based on precision.
